bearsona4: (I've seen what I could not recognize)

He was hovering over the ground, drifting like a cloud as he looked down. He was following the line of a crystal-blue river, with sun-drenched fields on either side of the bank. He floated along, content.

But then a bright light shone in his eyes, knocking him to the ground, accompanied by the blaring sound of a train. The sun was replaced by the moon and now he was looking up into a night sky. The light was nowhere to be seen, but many stars sparkled up there. Little white lines started to connect them, forming an odd, circular shape. That shape shifted to become an outline looking like a face with claws on the side. The image shifted one final time, to that of a little girl. The star-outlined little girl descended, came up to him, and gave him a big hug. She was wearing a cute little dress made of crushed velvet, but he really wished he could she her face and hear her voice.

A dark, malicious voice echoed out all around him and he hugged the girl tighter, protectively, noticing his arms were covered in red & white stripes now, with giant blue mitts on his hands. He couldn't understand the voice at first, but finally he could hear the words... and he wondered why her tone was so soft now. "You have already exceeded what I thought humanity to be capable of..."

The little girl smiled up at him again and he whispered aloud. "I said that we'd play again... and that everything would be okay... I promised her that!" So what had happened to the girl, that he made a promise with her?

The bright light shone down on him again, blinding him even as he heard the train's whistle blow, and when he opened his eyes the little girl was gone. A strained, very young voice called out to him as a haze started rolling in across the fields.

"...there..."

He stood up and looked around, trying to find her.

"...in there..."

She sounded like... she was in pain... and scared...

"...hang in there..."

And then the fields gave way around him, falling upwards as he fell down. The wheat became thinner, longer, strands of hair, except for one long black ribbon that he grabbed onto. Looking up, he saw an eye open in the sky - as blue as the rivers. It sparkled so brightly, and then it shut again, opened, and shut, opened, and shut... he heard a train chugging along in the distance to the beat of the eye...

He was being lulled to sleep by the beat, slipping further down the black ribbon until he came to rest on a giant black bow. There was a tag on it, like a print out of a telephone screen: a series of numbers next to a little House, and below it "Home: Hanamura Yosuke". He was extremely sleepy, so he didn't try to figure it out. He curled up inside the silky black bow, relishing in the feel of it.

The last thing he heard was his own voice, calling out on the wind: "You'll always be my sensei forever!"
